This T-Card design is ideal for those that want to connect one disk drive to a PCI card. No additional cabling is required, apart from the Fibre Channel cable to connect the T-Card to the PCI card.
This particular T-Card has been modified to work with "12V ONLY" drives that have been cropping up on the surplus market recently. All of our T-Cards and mini-backplanes can be modified for 12V -- ask for details.
Now some general info on T-Cards:
T-Card disk adapters convert the 40-pin SCA-2 connection of a Fibre Channel drive to allow a direct connection to a DB9 or HSSDC Fibre Channel interface, installed in a PC/Mac/workstation/etc., and also provides a power connector and jumpers for drive configuration.
For simplicity of setup, the jumpers are preset to start at power-on, and preset with a drive ID that is acceptable to all known Fibre Channel hard drives and PCI cards.
These cards were designed and manufactured in the USA, and include a one-year warranty. Technical support is available by email.
A trade-in option is also available, if the user wishes to try Fibre Channel by starting with this single T-Card. Purchase a standalone T-Card, and when expansion is desired, and simply send back the standalone T-Card plus a payment of the difference plus shipping. Please ask for details, and this offer is valid only when trading in a standalone T-Card for two or more start/loop T-Cards.
