MIA -- Copper to Optic converter ("External Power")

This store item is a Media Interface Adapter (MIA), which can be attached directly to any of our DB9-based items -- T-Cards, backplanes, "Gender Changers", and "Modified Start Cards" (either single-loop or dual-loop) -- exposing an optic SC connector.

This particular MIA has a 3ft pigtail to provide power to the MIA through an external source. This is needed when the DB9 interface that the MIA is attached to does not provide power to the MIA. By default, the pigtails will be tinned and left bare. Shown in the picture is an optional 4-pin power connector which will be included for no cost upon request. If you want the connector, simply include a note in the order comments section to indicate the desire for the shown 4-pin power connector.
